Hixson is a former unincorporated village in Hamilton County, Tennessee, that is now a part of the city of Chattanooga in the United States of America. In the northeastern section of the city, it is a component of the Chattanooga Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes the cities of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Georgia.
According to traditional definitions of the neighborhood, Hixson includes the region north of Rivermont (a Chattanooga neighborhood), east of the city of Red Bank and United States Highway 27, and south of the unincorporated communities of Middle Valley and Thrasher Pike.
